It's unusual to find a sub-contract sheet metal fabrication company that does not already have some kind of CAD capability

For them to be interested in SpaceClaim, they have to be convinced that SpaceClaim can deliver incremental value and functionality.  Areas where we know, and our customers in Sheet Metal Fabrication tell us that SpaceClaim scores are:-

This video shows how quick and easy it is for SpaceClaim to open a customer/prospect CAD file, then convert it to sheet metal and generate the flat pattern.  It then shows how easy it i to extract the key data required to generate a quote/estimate - area, cut length, no of insertions, no of bends etc.  Lastly it shows how quick a drawing can be generated for customer or internal purposes.

This video shows how SpaceClaim opens an .IGS assembly file received from a customer/prospect.  And how quick and easy it is to work through the sheet metal components within this file, overcoming several corrupt geometry issues and then producing a valid flat pattern for each.

This video shows how SpaceClaim opens a .STP file received from a customer/prospect.  In it's raw state it presents several challenges and could not be manufactured from sheet metal.  With SpaceClaim it can quickly and easily be simplified and made into a valid manufactureable sheet metal component with flat pattern.
